Waltz believes the virtues of honesty and patience to be of the utmost importance and tries his best to embody both, sometimes to other's chagrin as his honesty is often taken to offense. Despite his seeming cold indifference towards what seems like nearly everything most people could care about Waltz does have a strong sense of loyalty. He will do as ordered by his superiors, or at least those he deems to deserve his respect and loyalty. Waltz, however does not blindly follow orders, he will carry out an order as he sees fit and believes this to be completely acceptable as long as the desired result is accomplished in the end. A P P E A R A N C E ! Height: 5'2½" Weight: 99 lbs. Remarkable Features: Most of Waltz's physical features are actually quite unremarkable underneath his abundant robes. His sole unique feature would most certainly be his long, ankle-length platinum-blonde hair, which falls into remarkably well kept soft curls for someone who would seem to invest to little time into his appearance if you were to simply judge upon usual behavior. Overall Looks: Standing at only 5'2" Anselm Waltz is rather diminutive in stature. With his slight frame only holding approximately 99 pounds he is far from physically imposing. Although he most definitely cannot be described as the epitome of physical perfection, he is no slouch and his physical self fits him quite perfectly. Under his abundant robes his body is surprisingly lean, with little body fat and some muscle that is surprisingly defined although far from large. His low body fat is mostly responsible for this. Waltz's overall countenance is often described as feminine or androgynous, although his physical features can more accurately be described as 'youthful'. His hair is voluminous, full and with body. Softly curled platnium-blonde tresses falling as they please over his shoulders and down his back reaching to his ankles. His face, perfectly framed with rounded fringe, has very soft features; darker-toned, thin eye brows set above softly gazing pale-blue eyes almond-shaped hidden behind round framed glasses that rest on the bridge of his nose without further support. Long lashes complete the gentle visage. His cheeks are smoothly rounded and end in a pointed chin, above which rests a pair of thin pink lips. Waltz is most often seen wearing loose-fitting black and crème colored robes with long flowing sleeves., following the current Varia color scheme. The garment is mostly black embellished with crème accents that consist of solid lines leading from the collar to the hem. In between the solid lines lay triangles of a uniform size with crème colored borders and white centers. Under the black garment Waltz wears a white button-up shirt with an elaborately decorated collar consisting of black lace overlay. On his bottom half he chooses to wear a simple fitted black pant, and although his feet are not often seen he wears black and white oxford shoes with a slight heel. Accessories are limited but eye-catching. Around his neck Waltz wears a long strand of pearls alternating from small to large in three rows. The hair on the crown of his head is kept in a very small, tight bun and is kept hidden by a stylized white hat with a single black band wrapped around it. The hat is fastened with a large silver needle that strikes through both the bun and the hat. A B I L I T I E S ! Hitman Ability: Waltz is a skilled psychic and first-class illusionist, able to use of a myriad of psychic and illusionary techniques. As an illusionist Waltz is capable of using his psychic powers to make his opponents see, hear, smell, and feel things that are not truly there by directly influencing their minds. It is also very possible for Waltz to use his illusions to kill. Like most illusionists, Waltz's illusions that are not supplemented by Mist-attribute flames are often used to incite and control fear, and force others to be afraid by either creating tense, dangerous situations or explicitly preying upon an individual's fears. Waltz’s specializes in the creation of doppelgangers, landscapes, and bladed weapons. It should also be noted that Waltz is a master of subtleties. Being a skilled psychic Waltz can perform a number of supernatural feats using the power of his mind. His psychic abilities include telepathic communication, levitation, remote viewing, astral projection, and possession. Flame Type: Mist Ring(s): † Mist-Attribute Varia Ring – An A-Rank ring given the Executive Staff of the Varia. This ring converts Wave Energy into Dying Will Flames. † Segno Hell Ring – One of the six Mist-attribute Hell Rings; Segno has been shown to possess the ability to temporarily create killing intent and erase killing intent within an individual. The intent to kill created by the ring can be directed where ever and onto whomever the user wishes; this is most often used to create distractions or to add more realism to an illusion. This may also be used to overcome weaker opponents, dissuading them from entering a specific area or approaching a certain individual. The ability to erase killing intent works under the same basis as illusions, and is often used to avoid dangerous confrontations; temporarily removing from existence one's desire to kill or do battle. As a Mist-attribute ring, Segno aids in the casting of real illusions. Box Weapon: † Spettro Sfera di Cristallo – A support-type box weapon; Spettro Sfera di Cristallo resembles a crystal or glass ball most commonly used to aid in the performance of clairvoyant feats. The box weapon itself acts as an amplifier of Mist-attribute Dying Will Flames, effectively reducing the amount of effort needed to exert Dying Will Flames and strengthening constructs produced by Mist flames. **Can only be maintained for 2 posts** Box Animal: † Spetralle Farfalle (lit. “Spectral Butterflies” ; ) – The basis of many of Waltz's great illusory feats. Upon activation this box weapon releases a mass of small Mist Flame covered butterflies. Using the constructive property of their Mist Flames that cover their bodies the Spectral Butterflies are able to create real illusions with ease. The illusionary abilities of these Mist-attribute butterflies are extremely versatile; and because of their Mist-attribute flames they are able to make many of these illusions real. Illusions that can be created range from landscapes to people. Correlating with their ability to effectively fuse with illusions the Spetralle Farfalle are able to merge with their master by synchronization; this combination can easily be compromised however. The calming characteristic of Rain Dying Will Flames can be used to make the butterflies lethargic thereby compromising their ability to effectively create illusions. B A C K G R O U N D ! History: Born into wealth in Berlin, Germany Aselm Waltz XI was raised by his mother, a talented concerto musician, and his father, a member of the Vongola Mafia family German branch. The Waltz family had lead the German Vongola operations since the rein of 2nd generation Vongola Boss, Ricardo. Vongola Secondo was known as the father of the Vongola Famiglia shift from a model organization to one that focused operations on violence and crime. This led to the birth of the Vongola German branch, and the Waltz, an already active participant in the German underground crime rink, was brought under the Vongola umbrealla. The union led the Waltz to riches, strength, and influence; however this was minor when compared to the Vongola's gain. As the Vongola Secondo fell from his seat as the boss of the Vongola Famiglia Waltz activity steadily slowed and less interest was focused outside of Vongola's original territory. Despite this Waltz family activities continued, receiving little acknowledgment or support from the Vongola over the years. Focus of the Waltz family became directed towards the black market and illegal trade of Mafia artifacts and weapons among other things. As the Tenth Generation Vongola Boss matured, illegal activities with within the Waltz fell further into the shadows. Despite this the family soon found themselves in possession of one of the highly sought after Hell Rings, Segno, and the rise of the heir of the Waltz family. Anselm Waltz XI rose to power after his father stepped down, citing that he could no longer lead the family into the light in his old age. With little interest amicably end Black Market dealings Anselm Waltz XI abruptly ceased the Waltz's involvement and directed his attention to supporting the Vongola directly. Both his mother and father raised Anselm Waltz XI with this in mind. Sure to instill admirable qualities in the heir to the family, XI stood by his father for as long as he could recall. Once realizing their son's psychic talent and latent Mist-attribute Dying Will Flames, he was assigned a tutor to hone his talents and illusionary skills. Now, as the leader of the Waltz and a member of the Vongola's elite assassination squad, the Varia, Anselm Waltz XI seeks to further support the Vongola as it moves forward into the new generation. Its only reprieve was a dim, flickering light. It's coils shortening out several times within a second. Oh how painfully long a second was. This light, the only savior for eyes dipped in black, seemed to last forever. Its dim glow was not that at all, it was a burning bright flare. The cold and emotionless room consumed all within it, all hope was lost. Each sense was struck by what seemed to be an eternal stimulus. The air tasted stale. Its scent was artificial, thick with formaldehyde and disinfectant. The only sounds that pleasured the ears were low buzzes and the occasional beep that sounded from the depths of the unforgiving room. These buzzes were drones to the ears of the afflicted; the beeps were shrills cries that lasted centuries. A single examination table stood at the center of this room, beside it, like a caring nurse, stood a cold machine that spewed out rolls of paper soaked deeply with ink. Thin white fingers, royal blue nails cut to the quick, reached for the long sheet of paper that continued to grow and fold upon itself. “Ho. It seems that the vitals are doing just fine.” a wry voice cracked through the drones and beeps. Kurotsuchi Mayuri stood before his latest specimen, an Arrancar legally taken into custody by the Shinigami Research Institute in preparation for the Winter War proposed by Aizen Sōsuke. His pale white arm reached upwards, fingers twisting around a small grooved knob of a light fixture about the specimen. He brought light. More light to this blinded creature. Its body was mutilated. The chest carefully slit open with a incision only a master surgeon could create. All his innards we left visible and pulsating within their warm chest cavity. Its heart beat with a steady rhythm despite the condition of the test subject's body. “Nemu...” Mayuri called out, his voice trailing off in thought for a mere moment “Bring me my surgical instruments.” he ordered of his Fukutaichō as his hand carelessly let go of the long sheet that continued to feed information. With a simple flick of his wrist he shooed her off to get the needed instruments. His piercing yellow hues shifted to his second assistant. “Bring me an I.V. Pole with a 500 milliliter bag of 30 milligrams of the serum.” The assistant hurried off and Mayuri was left alone with his vulnerable test subject. “I've never had the opportunity to study an Arrancar, not legally. This is indeed and exciting event. Do you see my hands?” He lifted his hand with that long fingernail “I'm shaking. I hope I am able to do a thorough inspection without any difficulty!” he mused now waving his hand before the Arrancar's face. A sadistic grin danced across his lips as he peered down at the Arrancar. “Now...” his voice trailing off again as Nemu came to his side bearing a tray of various instruments. He delicately lifted a syringe from the tray “This will only hurt you for...a century or so.” He cackled bringing the needle down to the Arrancar's pupil, piercing the cornea and dipping into the vitreous humor, slowly his thumb pressed downwards to expel the unknown liquid. |
